  • Vegetable oil
  • 6 dried red chili peppers
  • 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
  • 2 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1/4 pound ground beef
  • 1 package Mapo Tofu sauce
  • Firm tofu, 1 package, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds


Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. When the pan is hot, add vegetable oil, dried red chili peppers, chopped ginger and 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic. When fragrance comes out, add ground beef. Stir-fry the beef for about 30 seconds and add the Mapo Tofu sauce. Put tofu into the pan. Stir-fry them for about 2 minutes and completely coat tofu with sauce. Make sure to be delicate and not to break the tofu. Add sesame seeds and another 1 tablespoon of green onions. Transfer everything into a plate and serve.
